Considering Faux Florals? | L+J 2022

first look for wedding couple with faux florals

Have you been considering faux florals for your wedding?? GO FOR IT!!

Lauren and Jerome chose to tie the knot in March of 2022, at a time in the Midwest when many florals are simply not in season. Instead of paying a hefty premium for imported flowers, Lauren found absolutely fantastic faux florals from a rental company called Something Borrowed Blooms based out of Lafayette, LA and shipping nationwide.

With the rented faux florals, she was able to bring a rich and moody color palette to life in spite of the Chicago seasonality. And the florals available to her truly brought Lauren’s entire design aesthetic together!

Rich red bouquets and boutonnieres contrasted so well against their customized jean jackets and backdrop of light brick in the venue.

Things to Consider when Renting Florals:

  • You have one week before the delivery to confirm all of your numbers, check with your planner and caterer to make sure you have the right number of guest tables and other decorative tables in mind.

    • Confirm wedding party numbers and guests of honor, too.

  • Don’t forget about fun add-ons like votives, garland, floral stands, and flower crowns. Many rental places, like Something Borrowed Blooms, have additional add ons that can fill out your design intent and make it a one stop shopping experience for you.

  • Consider purchasing your bouquet outright! Many rental companies will give you the option to purchase your personal bouquet to keep as a momento for the wedding day.

    • Something Borrowed Blooms even has a really unique option to get a drawing of bouquet instead.

  • Go big with exciting off season flowers!! Peonies in October? Magnolias in July? Why not?!
