With its scorching summers and captivating lakefront views, Chicago provides a unique setting for couples who yearn for a steamy tropical ambiance on their wedding day. Robyn and Nic's celebration effortlessly captured the essence of a tropical paradise, infusing every moment with vibrant colors and exotic flair - plus a few laughs!
As a fellow floral designer and enthusiastic event planner, Robyn's mother was ecstatic to collaborate with BW Studio Event Planners in crafting an enchanting and colorful tropical experience for the happy couple. We couldn’t have pulled it off so effortlessly without her! Plus the beautiful interiors of Ovation Chicago were the perfect location for their tropical vibe to come to life.
The festivities commenced with a wedding party photo op by the riverside, highlighting a few iconic Chicago riverfront locations. Afterwards, Robyn and Nic joined us at Ovation in the West Loop for the momentous ceremony and reception. Upon their arrival, the room emanated a radiant tropical ambiance, with striking floral accents lining the aisle and adorning the altar. The wedding party complemented the tropical theme flawlessly, donning light and airy summer suits in beige and bright green bridesmaid dresses, which artfully contrasted the imposing steel doors and cream drapery serving as the altar backdrop.
Following the delightful and lighthearted ceremony, guests mingled in the cocktail area while the BW Studio planning team and catering crew swiftly transformed the space for the evening's culinary delights. The couple's beloved pets even made an appearance, showcasing their very own signature drinks at the bar.
Ovation's in-house photo booth provided guests with the opportunity to create their own personalized wedding favors. To enhance the tropical theme, the bride and groom crafted a DIY tropical backdrop where guests could capture their own delightful selfies alongside the photo booth.
A resplendent tower of flawlessly smooth white cake took center stage, adorned with an elegant green tropical leaf embellishment. A delectable assortment of sweet treats graced the dessert bar, ensuring that guests could satisfy their sweet tooth cravings after dinner.
Each dining table boasted a towering arrangement of tropical florals and verdant greenery meticulously arranged by the talented Samantha from BW Studio. To further elevate the evening's enchanting ambiance, an array of pillar candles added a touch of sparkle. The seamless fusion of tropical vibes and industrial chic aesthetics unified the space, creating the perfect backdrop for heartfelt speeches and toasts.
To keep the festivities alive and electrifying, Ovation's in-house DJ team, Style Matters, took the stage, playing the couple's favorite tunes and igniting an unforgettable dance party that lasted late into the night.
As the evening progressed, guests were treated to delectable desserts and refreshing iced coffee. In true Chicago fashion, the night concluded with the arrival of a hot dog food truck, serving up classic Chicago-style hot dogs complete with all the traditional accouterments.
