A Night of Love and Dancing | Katrina & Tyler 2019

Where to begin… this is one of those weddings where I wish I was a guest and not just a coordinator! These two families truly know how to party and have a amazing time doing so. They were fantastic to work with from start to finish, and the studio truly gained a few friends (and clients!) along this journey.

Katrina and Tyler knew exactly what they wanted. Which always helps when trying to pull someone’s wedding vision together. From the first meeting, they knew what and when and where. We just provided the “how” to get it done. They wanted to pull both of their Greek and Jewish cultures together into one beautiful ceremony of unity and love. Which is exactly what they achieved.

Brix on the Fox is a gorgeous new venue located on the Fox River in Carpentersville (not far from Emmett’s Brewery - See Alaina and Sean’s lovely wedding there). The day started off a little stormy, but thanks to our wonderful hair and makeup crews from Carly Pribich and Beth Grayson… the ladies were able to relax and enjoy their morning at the Brix. Nothing a pile of clear umbrellas can’t fix.

Louie Abellera Photography joined us, soon followed by Aaron Bean Videography, and the magic started. The rain parted for a little while we so could dash across the street to the park for a simply sweet first look. Then the family gathered in front of their custom Chuppah for family photos before the ceremony.

Rabbi Isaac explained the history and importance of signing the Ketubah before the ceremony. Close family and friends gathered around to be a part of the signing. Then BW Studios wrestled it back into it’s custom frame before dancing started.

Their ceremony was so full of tradition, meaning, and love… I couldn’t help myself but tear up from behind the giant curtain separating the ceremony from the dinner area.

Cocktail hour was ended with a lively round of ethnic dances and quickly proceeded into toasts for the bride and groom.

A delicious family style dinner was served up by Shaul’s Catering at gorgeous farm house style king’s tables, beautifully outfitted with custom signage and florals from Youth & Yarrow. Giant lanterns of candles set the mood instantly.

The rest of the evening was a blur of hugs, kisses, and dancing as the couple celebrated their two families becoming one. Wishing them the very best in their futures together! Love you two!!

A special thank you to the creative team that made it all possible:
