BW Studio started 2021 off the right way… with a fantastic wedding at The Brix on the Fox in Carpentersville, Illinois. A heavy snow had fallen the night before, and created the perfect wintery backdrop couples always hope for this time of year.

Jenny and Chris came to me in February of 2020, mere weeks before the quarantine requirements set in around Chicagoland. They were anxious and excited to start firming up all the plans they had in place for their wedding day! They came to every meeting overly prepared and ready to plan (such a blessing). And we dove right into the finer details of what their perfect day would be like….

Less than one month later we are forced into isolation… but the planning carried on! Jenny and Chris told me multiple times, we don’t care if it’s just the three of us…. we are getting married on January 2nd! And married they are.

The day started off perfectly, with a little sunshine peeking through the wintery clouds from last night’s snow storm. The bridal party got ready at a nearby hotel and made their way to the Brix to get into their dresses. The Brix bridal suite was filled with reflected light from the snowy outdoors. And the gentlemen showed up just in time for individual photos along the Brix’s gorgeous brick walls.

The couple had the sweetest first look right outside the ceremony space! And yes, they had smiles like those on their faces for the entire day. Absolutely contagious.

In spite of the ups and downs of Covid restrictions and gathering requirements, a socially distanced ceremony didn’t stop this group from coming together and sharing a cherished moment with their closest family and friends. Cocktail hour quickly flew by and proceeded to a lovely dinner and some heartfelt speeches from childhood friends.

The evening wrapped up with a little dancing and lots of hugs. Feels like a ages since we have been able to gather and enjoy each others’ company in this way. And you could tell this group truly appreciated this moment.
