Boasting unique skyline views and beautiful loft style events, Lacuna Lofts can host any size or style event you desire. The BW Studio team absolutely loves working with Lacuna Lofts and their in-house team to bring your event dreams to life. Event Spaces:
The Reverie Gallery
Their main ground floor ballroom, approximately 12,000 square feet of funky steampunk loft space, hosts a one-of-a-kind salvaged shipping container bar, restrooms you’ll have to see to believe, and its very own entrance. The in-house bistro lights are dimmable for that perfect dinner mood lighting. You also get access to 250 crossback chairs and 30 round dinner tables, but the space can host up to 350 guests at a seated dinner. We’ve hosted full bands with dance floors in this space, but a killer DJ also works really well. Did I mention the giant rhinos? You’ll see them on the tour!
There’s even an adorable private suite for the couple and wedding party to have a few minutes to relax before and after the ceremony. The space is fully handicap accessible with elevator access and a fantastic on-site catering kitchen. Not that you’ll need to worry about that, because the in-house LM Catering is on point.
Magik Street
Across the corridor is one of their smaller event spaces, around 3,000 square feet. Perfect for a cocktail hour, backup ceremony space, or just a smaller scale event. It’s complete with a custom bar, restaurant style show kitchen, and landscaped private deck. The deck even has its own gas fire pits for year round enjoyment!
The indoor space hosts galvanized metal high boy and cabaret tables, and more dimmable lighting. This area is also totally handicap accessible. You can host up to 250 people standing in this space, or 70 for a seated reception and 90 for a seated ceremony. It’s very versatile! And there is a giant sliding door on the back wall that opens onto the corridor and unique restrooms off the hallway.
La Galleria
Upstairs is my favorite event space, La Galleria. 4,500 square feet of panoramic skyline views. Guests are always excited to enter this space and immediately drawn to the windows! LM Catering has a lovely custom wood bar that they roll into the corner to draw guests deep into the space. When you book La Galleria, you also get access to 150 crossback chairs, 8’ farm tables, and round dinner tables. The space can host about 150 guests with a dance floor or around 200 seated guests without a dance floor.
Around the corner from the main event space is a lovely private wedding suite and large restrooms. The entire space is handicap accessible with elevator access. And the catering kitchen is super close to the dining room so food is alway piping hot!
The best part about La Galleria is you have your own private staircase to the rooftop deck called Skydeck!
The Skydeck
This stunning rooftop terrace is available for ceremonies, cocktail hour, or small events. It’s approximately 5,000 square feet of outdoor space with an enormous built in bar and handcrafted bench seating. Lovely lattice-work trellis with cafe lighting and bistro lighting across the bar give the space a little sparkle as dusk settles in. And if you’re using this space for a ceremony, the venue will provide 175 white folding chairs for your guests.
Again, totally handicap accessible and easy to navigate. Most guests don’t want to miss an opportunity to access this space at some point of their rental.

On Site Catering
Every event at Lacuna Lofts is catered by their exclusive in-house caterer, LM Catering & Events, who expertly handles all of your food and beverage needs. Their culinary team of experts will work with you to build a personalized menu using only the freshest and most seasonal ingredients. Not only convenient, it’s also absolutely delicious!!
BYOB Friendly
A great cost savings to all of our clients, their BYOB policy! You can order your bevvies from your vendor of choice, have them delivered directly to the venue, and then the LM Catering crew will be your mixologists for the day. At the end of the evening, you can have the same vendor come pick up all your leftovers or take it home with you. LM Catering will also help you determine if you need any unique ingredients for your Specialty Cocktails!!
BYO-Cake
Yes!! You can totally bring your own cake and desserts. They just need to come from a licensed bakery… which you should be doing anyways. ; ) But LM Catering has a ton of fantastic options if you don’t want to hire yet another vendor.
Tables + Chairs + Flatware + China
All of these lovely items are included in your catering package!! Upgrades are available for most items, but you can feel good knowing there are beautiful options already included.
Setup & Take Down
Thankfully, this venue gives your vendor team a big window to set up and take down your event! So no worries there. We get 3x hours to set up and 1x hour to take down. More than enough time to make the space stunning!
Pet Friendly
Yes!! You can bring your furry friend for pre-ceremony photos and the ceremony. But after the ceremony is over, they must be escorted off the property during food service. Such an awesome perk though!!

Private Parking Lot
The neighborhood has lots of free street parking, but some days it gets a little busy. Which is why their private (and fenced in) parking lot is such a boon. You can opt to purchase parking vouchers for your guests or let them cover their own costs. At the time of writing this, it was about $12 for a full day. A steal for Chicago!!
