Long before Covid, social distancing, and mask wearing… Rachel and Steve wanted to have their dream wedding on their family’s farm in Yorkville. They wanted to be surrounded by the countryside they knew and loved when they first met over a decade ago.

They dreamed of a large airy tent with a sweet ceremony under the willow trees. If it sounds too picturesque to be true, don’t worry… it was.

Rachel suffered from a case of, way too many great ideas. And not having enough time to put them all together. My team swooped in and made sure each element came to life.

Her father created a gorgeous custom bar inside their old grain barn that served as the cocktail area complete with bar back. She also hand built an alter from some columns Rachel found in an alleyway. And small touches could be seen all over the yard with hay benches for the ceremony and custom signage.

Perfect fall arrangements adorned each side of the aisle way that lead to their custom alter. Barry performed a beautiful ceremony filled with lots of laughter and a few shed tears. Then the couple took their guests into the oversized tent for dinner and dancing.

Thankfully, the size of the property and tent allowed for everyone to have a safe and well distanced party. And let us all forget what a strange time we are living in right now.
