Brix on the Fox | Venue Spotlight
When searching for a unique venue off the beaten path from downtown Chicago with a lovely urban feel and stunning views of the Fox River, look no further than The BRIX on the Fox in Carpentersville, Illinois. Home to two beautiful venues, The Two-Sixty and The Industria, one of these spaces will surely find a way to tick all of your event-needs boxes!

Two Sixty
Upon entry, you’re welcomed by the bar + cocktail hour space and an archway leading to the ceremony space or extension of the cocktail hour space - depending on how you use the Two-Sixty for your event. Curtains can be pulled to mask off the rear of the venue and hide the dining tables for a grand reveal of the dining room after cocktail hour ends. The first of their two venue spaces, this side of The BRIX hosts up to about 300+ guests. This space is very multifunctional! We’ve seen all types of food service in this venue - plated, buffet, stations, and cocktail style dinner service. Each has its own benefits!
Past the main bar there is a small seating area and photo booth. Guests love to lounge in this space and take in the event while having a little respite from the noise of the dance floor. And down the hall to your right is the Green Room or Bridal Suite with its own on-suite restroom and also a full men’s/women’s multi stall restroom.
Both venues have their own catering kitchens, coat rooms, sound boards, and DJ booths. And fortunately, both venues can utilize The BRIX’s array of in house tables and chairs.
The best feature about the Two Sixty has to be the stunning curtain reveal of the dining room and the sweeping views from the brick archways all the way back to the head table that can be accented with swagged fabrics or their in-house bistro lights (which are always installed on the ceiling).

The Industria
Truth be told, this is BW Studio’s favorite side of the venue because it’s a little bit more intimate and cozy than the Two-Sixty but still has all the same amazing features as the larger side of the venue.
Upon entry you’re welcomed directly into the ceremony or cocktail hour space. Beyond that you can see a corner bar with lovely pendant lights, and a glassy door leading out to the river. Behind the large arch (and typically pulled curtain) is the main dining room, restroom suite, and Green Room or Bridal Suite space with the private on-suite restroom. There is also a photo booth just to the left of the arch. Perfect for after dinner festivities!
In this space, the full catering kitchen is much closer to the dining area, so we see a lot of buffets set up in the dining room space!
Venue Amenities
Privacy + Private Entrances
Yes, there are two venues on site… But each venue has their own entrance! The BRIX venue coordinators also place a welcome sign at the bottom of each staircase with the couple’s names to help guests know they are in the right place! Between these two features, you don’t have to worry about guests entering the wrong event. The venue itself is very well designed, the kitchen and back of house services are nestled in the middle of the venue, so you’ll never know the other event is even there!
Bistro Lights + Chandeliers
Both sides of the venue have bistro lights swagged across their trusses above the dining areas! And can be dimmed perfectly for dinner service. And both spaces also have a lovely glass chandelier over the ceremony space for a little unique flair.
Tables + Chairs
Custom wooden farm tables and black metal tolix farm chairs are included with every rental! They will already be set up for you when you arrive, and your catering staff will make sure they are quickly flipped from ceremony over to your reception. During cocktail hour, they will bring out a handful of high boy tables and stools to take their place on the dance floor!
In House AV
The BRIX has fantastic in house AV setups for the Two Sixty and Industria! DJ’s don’t need to bother with any additional lighting either. Yes, even a spotlight for the first dance!! They have lapel mics and stand mics for your ceremony, too. There’s always someone on site from the BRIX to help out with any questions day-of.
BYOB
Another great savings opportunity at The BRIX is the ability to purchase all of your alcohol BYOB! We always recommend working with 11th Hour Bartending to craft the perfect cocktail menu and shopping list for you, and then sending that list off to Prestige of Westmont for ordering. They will deliver it the morning of your event, and come pick up anything that wasn’t iced or opened for returns! You can keep anything that was already opened or iced for your own afterparty. It’s a lovely win-win for our couples.
Ceremony Assistance
The beautiful curtains are stunning, but how do they work?? Not to worry! A BRIX staff member will always be there to help pull them back for ceremonies and grand reveals at dinner time. You never have to worry when it’s your turn to walk down the aisle or when it’s time to go in for dinner! We have you covered.
Green Room or Bridal Suite
Both BRIX venues have their own full suites that can be used for the wedding party to seclude in before the ceremony starts. We never recommend doing full hair and makeup in there because it’s a bit small for a long morning and you can’t get in early enough for a typical wedding party! But it’s perfect to touch down, store your personal bags, and regroup before the ceremony. There is a lovely mirror, large sofa, small vanity, and credenza for photo ops. And most importantly, your own private restroom to use later in the evening. Your wedding planner will hide your gifts and cards in here throughout the night, since the door locks with a code!
Photo Booth
Everyone loves a photo booth!! And lucky for you, both spaces have their own open air photo booth with a printer. Unlimited prints, but two will come out at a time! And a customizable photo strip text! Some couples choose to bring in props and make it more thematic, but trust us when we say guests will love it either way. After the event, the BRIX will send you a digital copy of all the photos, too!
Parking + Accessibility
Thankfully The BRIX hosts an enormous parking lot that supports both sides of the venue. Lots of easy loading spots close to the building as well, but tons of spaces for all of your guests. And if someone is a little too happy to drive home late at night, they can leave their car there and grab it early the next day! Both venues are fully ADA Accessible and include Wifi Connectivity.
Large Venue Rental Window
Unlike many downtown venues, The BRIX has a generous venue rental window! They give you from noon until midnight to set up, party, and take down!! Most of our couples arrive around 2-3pm to start taking photos by the River or in the Wedding Suite. But vendors could show up earlier if they wanted to get a head start on their setups!
Ceremony Rehearsal
If the space is available the day or two before, you can reserve it with the BRIX for an additional fee to practice your ceremony. Otherwise, we can run through it the day-of the event as well!
Photo Opps & Locations
There are too many beautiful locations to name near The BRIX for photos… but our clients’ favorites are definitely “the tree”, the walktway along the river, the front steps of the venues, and the walking path behind the parking lot. You can also sneak back into Dundee and wander around the building to find great photo locations near Emmett’s and Bleu Root. (Ask me if you need more ideas!)
Vendor Partners
The BRIX also has an amazing list of trusted vendor partners they personally recommend. You don’t “have” to use them, but they are very familiar with the BRIX (like ourselves) and know all the ins and outs of the space to make sure your event runs as smoothly as possible!
Hotel Partners
Two local hotels in the area are great partners with The BRIX and know the scheduling and drive-time well. If you meet your hotel block minimum, they will shuttle your guests to and from the hotel to the venue via their own in house shuttles! Or they can pit stop at Rosie’s on the way back, a favorite afterparty location!
