Intimate restaurant events are always an absolute joy to plan, and mk & Michael’s wedding day was particularly sweet because they wanted to dispense with most traditions and make their day truly one of a kind. The unique space and atmosphere of Beatnik West Town was perfect for their casual, but very classy, nuptials.

When guests arrive at Beatnik in West Town, they are immediately greeted by a forest of greenery and luscious smells of plant life and herbaceous cocktails and cooking. For mk and Michael’s wedding, we forced guests down a narrow corridor so they could be wowed when it opened to the main atrium space for their welcome drinks and eventually the ceremony.

At Beatnik, there are a number of options for your ceremony backdrop, but this couple chose the beautiful rollaway planter boxes under the restaurant's atrium ceiling. VIP guests were welcome to sit in cozy barrel chairs right in front of the couple, and the rest of the guests gathered around closely in a warm intimate ring.

After the ceremony, guests are welcome to journey around the space and sample the variety of food stations set up for cocktail hour and later dinner service. Creating an intentionally whimsical menu, Beatnik’s culinary team takes guests and couples on a globetrotting journey that starts in the Eastern Mediterranean, but also includes recipes from Northern Africa and finishes with flavors of Mexico. Beatnik’s beverage team crafts exceptionally delicious cocktails that are savory and fresh with inventive recipes. And their extensive wine list contains the story of winemakers who make wine in lesser-known regions of the Mediterranean and the Americas.

Beatnik’s interior aesthetic is driven by a triumphant fusion of three destinations closest to their heart: Morocco for its opulent combinations of color and artistic passion, the Mediterranean countryside for its bucolic splendor, and Italy for a healthy dose of polish and panache. You can experience this through all of their gorgeous vintage furniture pieces, rugs, and artwork. Fully conceptualized and designed by Maison Bonhomme, the contrasting styles and textures of Beatnik West Town feature antiques from around the world and more than 400 living plants throughout the 6,000-square-foot space. Beatnik truly redefines what maximalist design could and should feel like!

Our couple chose to accent this stunning interior with minimal signage and decor throughout. And their guests danced the night away underneath the palm leaves and chandeliers.
