Ellen and Brian came to BW Studio with most of the big details of their wedding day secured! They were looking to our team to help dot the I’s and cross the T’s on their stunning RPM Events wedding day, and I’m so thrilled they did. The RPM Events team is absolutely fantastic to work with, their commitment to guest hospitality is unmatched. From the first walk through to the final close out, they were on top of every single detail. We were able to truly focus on our couple and their family as the day progressed because we knew the venue had everything taken care of.

RPM Events is located in the heart of downtown Chicago on Clark Street with panoramic views of the Chicago River. With quick access to many of the RPM brand restaurants, couples get their pick of the best there is to offer in Chicago cuisine. We will walk you through some of our favorite aspects of working with RPM Events!

DEDICATED ENTRANCE

You’ll never have to worry if guests are in the right place!! RPM Events has its own special entrance for events and guests are welcomed downstairs directly into the cocktail space. It’s located off of James C Tyree Way closer to the front door of the Westin Chicago River North. But it’s easy to find when you’re walking or cabbing. Then guests are guided on a journey through beautifully draped corridors with twinkling candlelight.

COAT CHECK

Guests can leave their coats at the door in all seasons!

PANORAMIC TERRACE

The full length of the ballroom is bordered by a deep 1200 square foot outdoor terrace that gives couples and guests an opportunity to soak in the stunning Chicago skyline while sipping on cocktails. The patio comes complete with oversized umbrellas and upholstered lounge furniture. With views of passing boats and iconic Chicago bridges, we often see live entertainment and second bars on the patio to surprise and delight guests while they are outside.

MENUS

Mix and match signature menu items from some of your RPM favorites like RPM Italian, RPM Steak and RPM Seafood. Each couple's wedding menu is created exclusively by their executive chef team to include a variety of interactive stations, passed options, custom dessert carts and more. Ellen and Brian had a gorgeous interactive meat and cheese display at their cocktail hour. But also included passed apps so guests could enjoy the beautiful weather and views from the patio. Couples can also round out their event with extensive beverage and wine selections from their award-winning wine director, Richard Hanauer. The options are endless.

CUSTOM MENU CARDS

Yes, you read that right! RPM Events will make custom menu cards for each place setting so guests know exactly what is coming out of the kitchen. Perfect for last minute allergy concerns!

CATERING AMENITIES

RPM Events comes with all the state of the art amenities you would expect from a modern event space. But you can also expect designer silverware, glassware, and linens. Cocktail and registration tables are included, along with all of your dining tables and upholstered dining chairs. A variety of beautiful lounge furniture is at your disposal. Ellen and Brian chose to have little niches in the cocktail area that guests could lounge on, and it was a hit. Your event has a dedicated event kitchen and staff. And the space has its own state of the art sound system with high speed internet and Wi-Fi.

GREEN ROOM OR BRIDAL SUITE

Off the main hallway there’s a lovely little room that can be utilized as a bridal suite, getting ready room, or a green room as necessary. For Ellen and Brian’s day, it afforded them the perfect opportunity to sit and relax before the big introductions and the party really kicked off! We also hid the card box and extra purses and backpacks for the wedding party in here.

VALET

Many hosts take advantage of the valet option with RPM so their guests never have to worry about where to park! Always a plus in the busy downtown area. There are a few garages in the area that guests can take advantage of too. But if they are already staying at the Westin next door, it’s a super easy walk for them!

From engagement parties to extravagant weddings, RPM Events can handle an event of any size or scale. The 6000 square foot ballroom is actually divisible into smaller rooms for different styles of events.
